Los Angeles. Geoduck. "Ain't it just like the night to play tricks when you're tryin' to be so quiet? We sit here stranded, though we're all doin' our best to deny it"

The most glaring double standard in American politics today is that if a Democrat said 1/10th about GOP-leaning areas what this guy says about cities on the daily there'd be a media dogpile so swift and vicious there'd be nothing left of their bones for the hyenas to pick at.

Trump: "You see it in the blue states run by Democrats -- everything is filthy dirty all the time. The cities stink The sidewalks are loaded w/horrible stuff. I don't want to use the term bc my wife hates it. She hates it when I imitate no men in women's sports, when I do the weightlifter."

media when maga wins an election: we must travel the country and speak to these voters and extend empathy to them and give credence to their bigotry and false beliefs media when the left wins an election: is this the end of the american experiment

it’s cool that if you turn on ESPN nowadays you’re fairly likely to see the 24th best QB in the NFL discussing the lab leak conspiracy with a man in a tank top

If you show up to Bluesky without following anyone, you'll be treated to a series of posts about art, music, and dogs. If you show up to X without following anyone, you'll be bombarded with right-wing conspiracies and white supremacist slop. It's weird which one is seen as a "political bubble"

"Trump is violating criminal & civil laws flagrantly, incl. the terms of these very budget agreements. And yet every time funding for the govt has lapsed or has neared expiration, Democrats have provided votes required to end debate & even to actually pass new funding." Fight for democracy ffs!

I was appalled (though not surprised) when I learned Sunday that Senate Dems intend to help Republicans fund the government through the election, with one minimal concession that has nothing to do with election subversion or ongoing Trump theft of federal dollars from blue states. And I remain so.

One more interesting point: this spring I sat down with Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes for an extensive interview about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media has unquestionably aided the Trump administration’s cover up here.

Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:

He's an insane megalomaniac trashing our country's physical heritage to build an endless series of monuments to himself. Complete annihilation of America's 235-year history of government by ordinary citizens engaged in public service. Our institutions should be screaming; instead, they're yawning.

Scoop: Trump has ordered workers to redo weeks of work on his planned White House helipad new WaPo photos show how past work was removed over weekend Trump is contemplating changes to White House lawn's slope, raising bigger Qs about project and cost

Strongmen are always looking out for number one: themselves. That’s why they create inner sanctums around themselves, surrounding themselves with family members who do not give them objective feedback. We should all be concerned when leaders surround themselves with only sycophants.
