Ok so, anyone know a European dealer that carries 3M Thinsulate FR 200, or an equivalent inherently fire-resistant insulating fabric? Planning on lining the van's rear and for hopefully obvious reasons I don't want anything flammable.

going to bother some Chinese companies that make Lithium-Manganese-Iron-Phosphate and ask them nicely if they'd consider making cells in a form factor compatible with Nissan Leaf 40kWh modules, since the LMFP chemistry apparently has the same nominal voltage as Li-NMC

Wait, hold up, One Night Only, the rom-com set in a dystopian society where pre-martial sex is outlawed 364 days a year, ends with a character saying “Maybe the fascists were right about this”? Christ on a bike. Well, that killed any interest stone dead.

Overheard a guy at a concert saying how he's using ai for research & the ai sited a source that hasn't been published yet, which turned out to be HIS own research. "Isn't that EERIE?" he said, "it must have scanned my computer and read my files!" Said like this was a cool thing, not an abysmal thing

Dunno bout yall but id much rather see my tax dollars going to feed hungry people for pennies on the dollar than see hungry families begging on the street. seeing mothers with their children holding up cardboard signs trying to get enough to feed them. If that's the trap, ill gladly walk into it.

Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.

One of the deep cultural and policy differences between Ireland and England (not UK) is the punitive, often borderline or actually abusive secondary school system run by privatised 'trusts' with no local control. To an Irish person it really feels like a government that hates/fears its children.

This is a harrowing - though not surprising - read. It’s probably hard to quantify, but I think we need to know how widespread this approach is, and what impact it has on young people’s mental health
