I spent about 2-3 DAYS after 9/11 wondering if our drummer was even alive bc he worked at the WTC. At the time, I traveled to NYC every weekend to prep for a tour that was almost derailed by the attack. Every Friday, I'd get off the train and see a wall of "Have you Seen Me" fliers. 1/several

i feel like we just need to admit to a lot of young people that our systems completely failed them. we let digital tools in the classroom and social media algorithms use them like lab rats and now half of them cannot have a basic, polite human interaction.
