been having a rough time lately and rewatched Bigtop Burger this morning. it's a nice reminder that a lot of negativity in the world comes from the obedience of normal people, whether out of fear or the promise of rewards. sometimes one person saying "NO!" can make a big difference.

Heres some full game play from our current build. Casual players will have fun, but the game is tuned for players who enjoy a high skill gap. There's real depth and nuance to the game and getting a run like this takes a lot of practice and mastery.

Wunder is in this event, just got the demo back up a few days ago! Still working on next update and whilst it's taking a lot longer, there's some really fun new Coins & Talismans coming in v0.4 Like Odysseusssss!

Assets that I made for the 2024 Roguelike Celebration Steam sale page. 🧑‍🎨 The tallish tile size here I'm very fond of. I choose it because it reminds me of the tall grid often in ASCII roguelikes, but it also had some benefits when it came to actually draw the tiles & sprites.

Make it exist first... then leave it exactly as it is because quite frankly other tasks take priority sometimes. It's already good enough and nobody will spot that tiny mistake, and the fact that you created something in the first place is already an achievement

AI is next level gatekeeping. Its proponents don’t just tell you that you’re incapable of doing a thing, they imply that nobody else is gonna be able to do it either, and suggest you pay them to do it for you, badly. Can’t be having with that nonsense. I’d rather learn to do things badly for myself
