What really pisses me off about stories like this is there's no such thing as efficiency in truly creative projects. The doing of the thing *is* the art and the final piece is the proof of the journey! Honing your craft so you can do bigger and weirder and cooler things is the whole point of this!!

There's also more to a tokusatsu production than the head writer. The producer arguably has a bigger impact on the final product since they're the ones who decide when the toys deploy and the overall structure of the show.
