It feels like one of the tenets of the MAGA movement is you always have to act like you're the dumbest motherfucker alive. JD Vance has a degree in political science and philosophy from Ohio State. He has a law degree from Yale. He absolutely knows what socialism is, but he has to do this act.

Q: How do you define socialism personally? JD VANCE: I think in reality what it actually means in the American context is you want to replace American workers with foreigners workers, and you want boys to play in girls' sports

Everyone in Trump II deserves to be booed loudly and relentlessly every time they show their faces in public for the rest of their lives, but there is a whole other level of booing that should greet people who did less than nothing and then talk about how hard it was. apnews.com/article/thom...

Republican Sen. Tillis calls his vote for Hegseth the 'biggest regret of my career' in a new book

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis says in a new book that his deciding vote to confirm Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in January 2025 is the “biggest regret of my career.”

Just a reminder: Tillis persuaded the woman Hegseth allegedly raped to come forward with her story, and told her that if she did, it would sink the nomination. She did. At great risk to herself. Tillis then cast the deciding vote for Hegseth. Because he’s a goddamned coward.

Outgoing Sen. Tillis regrets pivotal vote for Hegseth: ‘He’s an actor. He’s not a manager’

Outgoing Sen. Thom Tillis spoke to MS NOW about regretting his vote to confirm Pete Hegseth and his strained relationship with Trump.

BBC are reporting City benefited from at least £830m of undeclared funding over 9 years. Using the Everton formula of 10 points over a single £20m discrepancy, City should be docked at least 415 points, so 46 points a year for the next 9 years. Works for me

Fine, tear it all down then. Go after all of it. Oh no, we can't afford VAR anymore as a league? Oh no, we gotta get rid of crypto and bettor scams off club shirts? This is a league problem. Not just a City problem. The league has no business acting high and mighty. Torch all of it and them.

£900million. Sham contracts with staff. Financial doping and artificial inflation beyond levels we’ve seen before. City are absolutely fucked, but you get the impression that this could open a can of worms at other clubs too. Make no mistake, this is a significant moment in football history.

In this day and age it’s never a bad thing to talk about books. I love books. I basically only read nonfiction because life is full of amazing true stories (both good a bad). Just finished London Falling, a stunner of a read from Keefe, who never disappoints. Also, support your local library.
