I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.

Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.

Double Fine is my favorite studio and since moving to the Bay, Ive made several friends there. I’m so glad the studio wasn’t closed down but I’m gutted that they had to do layoffs. They’ve weathered a lot over the years. Layoffs affect everyone at the company even if they kept their jobs. Tough day.

You know why America sucks? Mitch McConnell is one of the most powerful people in the world & steady collecting a hefty paycheck, while he is at best unconscious, & most likely dead. Yet you out there, you have to show up to work to get paid, & you'll never be paid as much as him, or be as powerful.

Jewel Food Stores (Kroger) has decided to sell their Taylor Farms salad mixes for 2/$8 instead of pulling them off their shelves. I talked to three different employees there and none of them have even heard about it. One guy is leaving a note for the day manager. Corporations are very bad people.

Nobody talks about how we're all paying $15 for sandwiches now and just pretending that's normal. Five years ago that same sandwich was $8. The price doubled and the only explanation we got was "supply chain issues" which apparently means "forever."

and they are sticky little fuckers. That's why good information sources are noting the only way to be (relatively) safe is to cook food at a specific temp that kills them, or stick to produce that has a thick skin and can be peeled. Spores can HIDE and stick to folds in things like lettuce
