Cannot think of single thing AI has improved in my life.
Having fun isn’t hard when you’ve got a library card 📚
So funny that this dullard really thought that he's posting an incredible gotcha when it reality AI disappearing would change fuck all for 99% of people on the planet

Be:Seattle was instrumental in my building establishing out tenants association. Their advice, support, and solidarity are an asset to renters everywhere in our city.
Be:Seattle has been quietly building tenant and renter power for years and you should give them* some money if you can * Them means *two* staffers, turning a tiny bit of money and a lot of people time into huge wins beseattle.org/donate/
Spearheaded by local billionaire Brian Heywood and his band rich pervs, who can't stop thinking about what's in our children's underpants (and how to get into them.)
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play
May his bill to get into little girl's underpants hang around Brian Heywood's neck for the rest of his days, much like that office chair does to Tim Eyman.
While we're talking about what 'is' and 'isn't' journalism, I think it's worth considering that there are basically one and half publications left in this town that can pay people a living wage to do the profession, and both of those are owned by well-off business interests at this point.
If you want to understand how anything works in this city, five bucks a month to PubliCola is great way to start learning. Also, calling Barnett "an influencer" tells me you don't understand what she does, nor what actual influencers do, nor what words in the English language mean.
KUOW says that "influencers" like me are the reason you should give them money. If you want "police say" statements, I guess go for it. If you want deeply sourced, in-depth investigative reporting by someone who's been a journalist in Seattle since 2001, support PubliCola! publicola.com/support/
Erica Barnett is one of the most relentless reporters in Seattle, and she will dig into stories that make establishment reporters uncomfortable. She's a regional treasure and you should become a subscriber!

Class act, and a great piece of political education. Hannah is such a fantastic communicator - we would be lucky to have her in the State Senate.
A message to Brian Heywood - gtfo of our district. A message to everyone else: progressive lawmakers should be able to make a CLEAR case for how government is materially delivering on lower costs & better lives for working people. 1/
The resignation and replacement of Shon Barnes is frankly inconsequential IMO. Police Chiefs are essentially glorified PR apparatuses from my POV. People who are upset over this seem to believe that the right person will fix the policing abuses and the crime that inequity brings.
PSA: Smoke in Seattle starting tomorrow ish probably during the day. Worse on Tuesday. Prob gonna be until Thursday at least
⚠️OH FUCK DADDY😳😩⚠️SEATTLE IT’S TIME TO VOTE ⚠️BALLOTS ARE DUE AUGUST 4TH BY ATE 💅💅 PM😱GET YOUR BALLOT DEEP😘🍆INNNN A DR0P BOX🗳️ BUT ‼️⚠️🚨🚨STRANGER DANGER🚨😳DO NOT USE 🚩THE STRANGER’S GUIDE🤮🤢🤮 THEY WERE💸BOUGHT💸 BY A FOR-PROFIT PRIVATE MEDIA COMPANY 🙄👀 AND THEIR ENDORSEMENTS ARE 💩DOG SHIT💩
It’s a whole ass tragedy that our paper of record actually hates Seattle and regular Seattlites so bad that they try to sabotage the objectively best mayor we’ve had since I’ve lived in city boundaries
TL;DR: The Seattle Times editorial board is showing its entire ass. They are desperate to have Katie Wilson fail, and they're willing to make up bizarre conspiracy theories to facilitate that outcome.
@seattletimes.com @kuow.org Are you going to demand that the CEO of Sound Transit have a presser on this? Or is your outage only for leaders who are women?
Just want to check I didn't miss anything. Dow Constantine still hasn't held a press conference about the downtown portion of the system being shut down for 14 hours right?
It's really disgusting to see reporters at The Seattle Times and KUOW pretend SPD has ever been good at communication. Come TF on.
Seattle Pessimism is a thing for real and it is mostly a nostalgic lamentation for a city that didnt actually exist and was supposed to die in the 70s and many imagine did...but for the next 40 years where it didnt, and in fact became one of the sizzle cities. Seattle as is refutes them every day
it’s wild how many things get Benghazied up about Seattle and various facets of it. I’ve been reading stories about how the city is dying from pleasant little cafes for nearly a decade now. They are desperate for failure for some reason
Dear Seattle media: Has anyone checked on the search for the third Seattle Center shooting suspect lately? Or on how the survivors and victims' families are coping? Asking on behalf of roughly 850,000 friends.
Looks like Jon Arbuckle could use a quickie.
Bill Radke could get trapped inside a wet paper bag, to be fair.
Angela Poe Russell, the person who insulted me and my work without any pushback from @billradke.bsky.social, also said this: "But don't give us one-sided narrative and call it journalism. And thank you for doing what you do.”
Oh HELL no. @kuow.org people trashing my work and calling me an "influencer" on Week In Review, claiming—with no receipts whatsoever—that Gil Kerlikowske, Carmen Best, and Adrian Diaz also spent a quarter to a third of their time outside Seattle. www.kuow.org/podcast/week...
Week In Review
Host Bill Radke and his guests make sense of the week's news. New episode every Friday.

Wishbone: "Joe's trouble in school reminds me a lot of the story of Tyrone Slothrop! He couldn't get through the war without his boner predicting every V2 rocket impact . . . in Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon!" (ripple transition begins)
Suddenly Seattle Times is all against return to the office when it comes to chief of police
Saka & Rivera bout to lose by double digits. Juarez not even elected. Hollingsworth will have to face the 2nd most progressive electorate in the city after signing off on everything Sara Nelson dreamt up & running council like a Republican from Broadmoor. These are dead enders flinging poo. Ignore.
To be fair, Danny has to consult an elaborate collection of tattoos on his chest every day to know where he is and what his job is.
Absolutely incredible that Westneat and other critics of the mayor believe Shon Barnes was appointed by her and that SHE should have "worked out" his desire to travel constantly with him as part of his contract, when he was appointed by Bruce Harrell in 2024. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
The coverage of Bruce Harrell compared to Wilson really shows what an unserious newspaper they are. If you just read the Seattle Times, you would have no idea that anyone else is running for office in this state except for Gluesenkamp Perez. Might as well hire Brandi Kruse as EiC and go full Weiss
“Hi-i! Megan Rapinoe here-game is over. Get the hell out of my train and city!”
