among many other things I would like to see dems campaigning on, it should be made clear to companies that profit from deals like this that any public lands or resources given to them by trump will be immediately nationalized with appropriate punitive fines

“The majority of Americans are open to living car-free even after decades of car-centric planning, a new survey finds…A stunning 18% of car-owning U.S. residents indicated that they were ‘strongly interested’ in living car-free, and another 40% said that they were ‘open’ to it.” @usa.streetsblog.org

. The people of the original 13 states of the USA were fearful of a hateful demagogue rising one day to rule over them. They invented a Congress and Judiciary to check gross overreach of a tyrannical criminal Executive. In cowardice and self-interest, both have abandoned that sacred role. .

her very existence was an indisputable reminder of how many things framed as inevitabilities were actually just someone’s choice. there actually is enough money for everything. the wealthy could fully fund literacy and public health and the arts and child welfare. they just won’t

By almost any measure Dolly embodied "the American Dream." Some people will come from nothing and make it big and consider the problem now solved. Others will remember that there are still others with nothing and use what they have to help.

Rich people should learn from the post mortem adoration Dolly Parton is reviewing, how most of it isn’t even about her music, and take notice imo. Rich guys seem legacy success but won’t built a fuckin community center. Curious.

Dolly Parton invested the royalties she earned for writing ‘I Will Always Love You’ in Nashville’s Black community www.washingtonpost.com/arts-enterta... "This is the house that Whitney built" - DP 🥺🙏

It's so weird that Dolly Parton used her money to help ordinary people in a thousand different meaningful ways *and* lived an incredibly happy fulfilled life, almost like there's some sort of connection between the two. Anyway, let me read about another AI CEO poisoning a town for shits and giggles

you can't stop apple from putting this in the phone, you can't stop google from putting this in search, you can't tell your boss to go fuck himself if he asks you to use it at work but you can tell the people trying to build a data center in your town to fuck off

Literally nobody, including MAGA, had any ideological commitment or pre-existing policy goal of picking a fight with Canada. This is all happening solely because the crazy old man randomly blurted it out. And that makes it worse. There's nothing to negotiate, no aim to satisfy. He's just insane.

The whole world needs to stand up to this out-of-control, corrupt, narcissistic bully and criminal, who literally doesn’t care that he’s imploding the US economy, hurting countless families and businesses, and dragging the entire global economy down with him. It actually may be his specific intent.
