If you’re in Brooklyn for Juneteenth, there’s a party at Herbert Von King Park put on in partnership with Councilmember @chiosse.bsky.social’s office. I love that they’re showing Haiti vs. Brazil at the end of the night. (Double Dutch competition while the USA play Australia. LMAO.)
I’ve been working with @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social since he was campaigning to create the Office of Deed Theft Prevention, and now, it’s a reality. We will continue to use every lever of power within City Hall to keep New Yorkers in their homes, and finally bring an end to Black displacement.
For too long, City government has stood idly by while homeowners fall victim to criminal deed theft. Those days are over. We're creating the City's first Office of Deed Theft Prevention. If you think you or someone you know may be a victim of deed theft, visit nyc.gov/deedfraud. @chiosse.bsky.social
The votes are in: NYC-DSA just DOUBLED our socialists in City Council. 📈🌹 We're proud to welcome @shahanafrombk.bsky.social and @chiosse.bsky.social to our City Socialist in Office committee! Our movement is growing. Together we'll win an affordable New York.
A Preconsidered Resolution, sponsored by @chiosse.bsky.social, calls on the United States Congress to respect the true history and significance of national park sites, including the Stonewall National Monument.
LGBTQ+ history is American history. I’m proud to stand alongside my @council.nyc.gov colleagues @chiosse.bsky.social and Justin Sanchez to demand the return of the Pride flag to Stonewall. 🏳️🌈
In a letter to the National Park Service, @speakermenin.bsky.social, alongside LGBTQIA+ Caucus Co-Chairs @chiosse.bsky.social and Justin Sanchez, denounced the Trump administration’s removal of the Pride flag from the Stonewall National Monument and urged its immediate return.

Just had @chiosse.bsky.social go past me on a CitiBike while walking to go vote. A good omen.
This is the message ahead of #NoKings day, and if your local politicians aren't preaching it, well... they better start. Or maybe they'll end up like Cuomo.
"After we win in November, we do not demobilize. The rich and corporate interests who tried to buy this election with the millions they stole from our pockets will want to see us fail. We won’t let them." - Chi Ossé
Had a great time talking with Council Member @chiosse.bsky.social about his vision for NYC. See the conversation on @couriernewsroom.bsky.social ‘s YouTube channel
The City Council literally has to sue the Adams administration to make them enforce a law expanding rental assistance. I can’t wait for Zohran to be mayor.
Thanks to @chiosse.bsky.social and the City Council, the law is crystal clear: if a landlord hires a broker, they pay the fee. Now the City must actively enforce it.
"A lot of our establishment Democrats do and say more about progressives and folks who are trying to enter this party with new and fresh ideas than they do against Trump and Republicans," @chiosse.bsky.social says in this no-holds-barred Q&A. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

From Kirsten Gillibrand (“she should resign”) to Eric Adams (“a power-hungry, egotistical man”) to the Democratic establishment, NYC’s Gen-Z political star doesn’t hold back.

The FARE Act goes into effect today, meaning tenants will no longer have to pay brokers’ fees for their apartments if they didn’t hire the broker themselves. www.thecity.nyc/2025/06/10/b...
The city will depend on renters to be proactive in reporting violations. “There’s this element of vigilantism that will be able to take place here, when it comes to holding these landlords and brokers accountable,” said sponsor @chiosse.bsky.social. via @tareqsaghie.bsky.social: bit.ly/4l0g2GZ
What Renters Should Know As NYC's Broker Fees Ban Kicks In - City Limits
With little capacity to investigate brokers and fines for offenses relatively low, the city will depend on renters to be proactive in reporting violations of the new broker fees law.

In this political moment, our city needs someone with the energy to stand up to Donald Trump and an inspirational vision of the most our city can be. That’s why I’m endorsing @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social for mayor.
New York City cannot afford to deal with an Andrew Cuomo mayorship, especially during this catastrophic presidency. Ranked Choice Voting allows good candidates to team up without splitting the vote to defeat bad ones. These are my first endorsements:
