lrp: there's something extra dystopian and disheartening about the fact that people apparently have plenty of energy to spare in hunting down AI in fanworks and making callout posts, but not enough energy to spend commenting on those fanworks, or telling the creators they like their work
The way suspecting genAI use has turned artists against each other feels so disheartening lately. We all have to be sus these days (and never trust large corps) but we also shouldn't go so hard other way that we treat everyone as guilty til proven innocent. You don't always have to assume the worst.
It’s so important to remind people that we can do good smart things that help and don’t hurt.
