Very saddened to learn that @wellcometrust.bsky.social has decided to no longer fund Irish researchers through their discovery grants. This is a major blow for those who do truly blue skies research in Ireland as the ecosystem (i.e. @researchireland.ie) only funds research with perceived "impact"!
