Its good actually when Democrats come together after a primary and acknowledge that Republicans are actually the real threat and should be kept out of office at all costs.

There is pervasive corruption across our healthcare and agricultural systems that defy party lines. I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.

Is everyone aware of the General Motors streetcar conspiracy? In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.

This website proves to me that economics and civics should be required year long courses in high-school. We taught people math to pass a test, but not how to apply that math in the real world.

Everyday I log into this site and come further snd further to the conclusion that regardless of political stripes, Americans are so addicted to individualism and "one simple trick"ism that we will never be able to move beyond fantasy because reality requires trade offs.

While I can understand the "why you don't want to do that for surveillance reasons" I do think this app would benefit from a "where is this poster located" label.

While politics has always had a fandom element, I think the defining feature of our times will be that it has become pure fandom devoid of any connection to actual reality.

The defining feature of bluesky is people getting into an argument with what they think somebody wrote, instead of what they actually wrote because this place loves laundering their priors.

i mean, the plan for this is “destroy the electoral college and enact proportional voting”, it’s just that actually implementing that plan has a very high level of difficulty
