There’s a quiet culture change happening in Halifax. I think it’s most obvious at #KidicalMassHfx, where you can see “all the cool bikes,” but it’s also evident on an average Sunday afternoon at the pool. The culture of family cycling and cargo bikes is growing steadily and it’s wonderful to see!

Various bikes and cargo bikes, including a frontloading cargo bike and a longtail parked at bike racks next to a splash pad on the Halifax Commons. A group of bikes and cargo bikes, including a longtail, a frontloading cargo bike & a cargo trike at bike racks next to the skate park under redevelopment on the Halifax Commons. The trike has a sign advertising Kidical Mass Halifax. A midtail cargo bike has a sign on the back that says “bike good mayor bad”Close up of the front rack of an Aventon Abound longtail cargo bike. There’s a stick in it that says “I sold my car”

Alberta hasn't banned US alcohol imports. People here aren't buying it anyways. The debate over whether provincial governments should be banning it misses the actual point, which is that Canadians don't want to buy it in the first place. #cdnpoli

"The driver of the vehicle was issued a summary offence ticket for not having a valid inspection sticker." I'm struggling with this one. A pillar of the community killed by a driver, a family mourning. The system's response feels grotesquely inadequate #VisionZero www.saltwire.com/nova-scotia/...
