They really thought they did something here. What an absolute failure of design. Two death traps for cyclists and pedestrians all so that someone can shave off 10 seconds from the drive in their private mobile living room.

FWIW this is the reason mass cycling exists in places like Amsterdam and Copenhagen. It's not because the people in those cities are bike enthusiasts or die-hard environmentalists — it's because biking is the easiest and most convenient option for them to get around.
