Morning! (2x10 seconds of TfL traffic cam video of Victoria Embankment at 0835 and 0850 this morning, as folk ride their bikes on the cycleway C3 track. Few if any vehicles on the 4 lanes allocated to them) 1/2
CS3 CS6 Crowdsourced Count

Crowd sourced updates & pictures of #TfL's cycle journey counters on London's East-West #Cycleway #CSH #Embankment #CS3 #C3, and North-South #Cycleway #Blackfriars Road #CS6 #C6 #CS3Count #CS6Count https://linktr.ee/cs3cs6count
2/ the CS3 cycle journey totem wasn't fixed by the last reboot (spotted by @westcountrytim.bsky.social last week), it still to use @highpoh.bsky.social 's word "glitches", failing to count folk going past, resetting to zero per video, then restarting
4 Aug'26 #CS3Count Victoria Embankment was rebooted again on 26 July, YTD 102,569 is meaningless, and the totem still stalls so 12,601 is a bad undercount (video later) #CS6Count Blackfriars Road 8305 today, 538,659 since the May reboot @cs3cs6count.bsky.social
The issue with the cycleway #C3 #CS3 totem is bigger - the totem was reset to zero and rebooted last Sunday 🤦♂️ Sunday - Thursday scores courtesy of @highpoh.bsky.social 👇 bsky.app/profile/high...
Major issue with the @cs3cs6count.bsky.social Embankment Counter. Check out the "year to date" figure... Lane was super busy so clearly there's been some significant glitching going on. Or it can't show 1,000,000? 2nd photo is from the 24th July.
Clearly need more space for #cycling on #C3 - this afternoon - awkward junction as well - if only there were fewer cars being allowed in this area. @bobfromaccounts.bsky.social
As @westcountrytim.bsky.social notes 👇, the cycleway #C3 #CS3 totem on Victoria Embankment has been reset to zero and rebooted for (at least) the 3rd time this year, rendering any year-to-date counts meaningless. Thanks, tho, to Tim & the regulars who try to keep track 🙏 bsky.app/profile/west...
Cycle counter CS3Count on the Embankment cycle lane in London at 2,484 cycle journeys for the day at 08:30 this morning. Looks like the counter reset sometime yesterday. @cs3cs6count.bsky.social
📢 VICTORIA EMBANKMENT CLOSED ON SUNDAY 26 JULY 📢 ... for the London Triathlon 100km bike ride. Roads from Excel Centre to Westminster are closed from 0430 to 1400. Assume the #Silvertown bike bus is suspended too .... Road closure info pdf: t100triathlon.com/wp-content/u...
#FeralFriday in full swing out there this evening. Must be the heat. Everyone has taken leave of their senses. The heat is also getting to the counter which was stuck at 6610 when I arrived missed about 10, reset to 0, missed another few and started counting again. @cs3cs6count.bsky.social
The E on the One Network map implies it’s an emergency so I would guess TfL had no up front opportunity to apply permit conditions. Doesn’t excuse the usual poor layout of roadworks for cycleways though
These works on Byward Street, by the Tower of London, are authorised by #TfL Another failure by #TfL (cc @willnorman.co.uk ), allowing Thames Water to block cycleway #C3 with no traffic management bsky.app/profile/bean...
Latest example is at Tower Hill on C3. Incredibly busy cycle route, loads of vehicle traffic & hundreds of pedestrians.
A cycleway is only as good as its weakest link and #ThamesWater seem determined (or careless) to weaken as many as possible. Right now TfL Cycleways 2, 3, 4, and 22 are ALL closed in some way by #ThamesWater with no safe alternatives. How is this acceptable?

Blackfriars Road - advance warning of closure for crane operation
Please respond now to the Fleet St consultation!! Option 1 will help reduce traffic and make the area more welcoming and safer for people cycling 🙂 - but would like to see the westbound uphill cycle track segregated. Option 2 is not a serious proposal!? 🙄 transformingfleetstreet.commonplace.is

That makes sense as when I stopped to try & have a conversation with the TW guys they bluntly told me that TfL wanted it like that!! 🤯

I did loads on CT Group in the 2010s.... daftest was proving they were behind a load of legit-looking online 'news sources' and campaign groups, all paid by their clients. Including a fake campaign against London's cycle lanes funded by Canary Wharf's owners. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

Busy on the Millbank approach to Parliament square on a warm morning in London.
We are aware & will be writing to both Thames and Newham shortly. From the permit it looks due to extend into October which is clearly not acceptable with the current footprint - there must be a protected facility reinstated before schools start again in September.
Also with apologies for the not quite ideal photo, significant roadworks on Stratford High Street (Warton Rd -Carpenter's Rd) Cyclists must merge with the traffic. Thankfully there were some kind motorists who let me and fellow cyclists out @newhamcyclists.uk curse Thames Water.
Lanes v busy again today both going into work and coming home. The less said about some of the driving and cycling on show the better.... Anyhoo, counts from around 7pm @cs3cs6count.bsky.social
Over 7 days Tues 14-Mon 20 July'26, the #C3 #CS3 totem recorded 70,749 cycle journeys. Tuesday 21st's AM scores and scenes thanks to @westcountrytim.bsky.social 👇 With the rebooted count at 917k, totem should pass 1 million Thursday or Friday next week (or jinx it👿) bsky.app/profile/west...

Goodness #CS3 was super busy tonight on the way home. Was like a full Tube Strike day. Also starting to get significant congestion on #CS2... we're going to need bigger bike lanes. @cs3cs6count.bsky.social tonight's counts (very low given how busy things were)
