Aspiring optimist 😳

When I was a medical student 45 years ago, I clerked in a 13 year old girl with deep jaundice and an abdominal mass. She was Hepatitis B positive. That had led to a primary liver tumour. In a 13-year-old. She was dead within the month. Avoidable with vaccination.

The CDC has endorsed ACIP’s decision of revoking universal access in USA to hepatitis B vaccines at birth. The policy had been in place for 34y and was changed despite no new evidence emerging of any risk of vaccination. #HealthPolicy 🧵

Ex-leader of Reform UK in Wales Nathan Gill is sentenced to 10 & a half years in jail for taking bribes as part of a pro-Russia influence campaign Gill was paid thousands of pounds to give TV interviews in favour of a key Putin ally and to make speeches in European Parliament, where he was an MEP

Whole fucking thing makes me sick to my stomach. An abject fucking liar, a man who lies as easily as he fucking breathes, threatening an organisation which strives for truthfulness. And plastic patriots like the Mail and Farage urging him on. Jackels.

The Sociopath-In-Chief couldn't be bothered to even turn his head in the direction of a man in the midst of a medical emergency who collapsed in his office. Completely incapable of empathy, the EPSTEIN Files can't be released soon enough. 25/47

I hereby declare war on premature Christmassing. Any shop caught doing this before 1st December must be shut down and turned into affordable housing. Choose sanity. Vote Binface. (Photo dated 9th October 2025)

Fonzie was not "cool." Getting old, stuck in a shit small town, hanging around trying to impress younger lads who were literally still at school. Tragic fucking bastard.

Here we go again. Sensationalist headlines. Unproven causal links. And unclear migration figures based on shaky proxies. 🧵 Here’s the 2 big problems with the FT's new report… 1⃣They don’t really know how many left. 2⃣They have no idea why they left. 1/6

Wonderful old lady just called. "When I'm in M&S I don't care if it's a woman, man, trans or a furby that serves me. I just want a bra. There are bigger problems in the world. People are starving in Gaza."

One of the biggest problems with the world is that fools are always so sure and certain about everything and intelligent people are so full of doubts and uncertainties.

When did you ever hear the BBC stating that it must alter “story selection” and “other types of output, such as drama”, to win the trust of Green voters, or of unrepresented people on the left? All the shifts are in just one direction. bylinetimes.com/2025/06/09/b...

BBC Bosses Draw Up Plans to Win Over Reform Voters by Changing News and Drama Output

The Director General Tim Davie and other executives discussed altering BBC “story selection” in order to secure the "trust" of supporters of Nigel Farage’s party

“The distance between what is said, and what is known to be true, has become an abyss…The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped from our hands - we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.”

This is an image of British Commandos on a approaching Sword Beach on D-Day, 6th June 1944. War is a horrific thing; these men left their loved ones to enter its hellish cauldron. Some never returned. We remember their immense bravery and sacrifices so that they should never be necessary again.

just in case you needed to see the bigger picture… these are all galaxies. galaxies with hundreds of BILLIONS of stars and BILLIONS even TRILLIONS of planets and this is just a small portion of the sky. there’s no way we could possibly be alone in this universe.

This image shows a portion of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster as imaged by the GALEX telescope. Dozens of small blue, white and orange dots are scattered against a black background, each one a galaxy. A few closer galaxies can be seen. Several galaxies can be identified. They have shapes ranging from circles filled with puffy clouds to highly elongated ovals with bright centers. Incredible scenes on BBC's 'Rich people make housing unaffordable' program. This was a property developers "favourite room" on a property that would make him 33 grand a year. How is this not a crime?

Tiny box room with an impossible to get in to bed and mystery doors.
