Everyone talks about how it's a problem the president is an 80-year-old senile racist who makes shit up, but let's not forget that Sam Alito is a 76-year-old senile racist who also makes shit up.

When a TV guest goes the predictable route of claiming they're "paid protestors," hosts must immediately ask if they have any proof. When they sputter that they're guessing, ask if *they* were paid to come on TV and lie about it. No? You're offended by that? Gosh, I'm just guessing here like you.

Authoritarians want you to feel isolated and alone, to feel like their vision of the world is the only one. That’s why taking part in public protests matters. You connect with other people like you and you show those numbers off to the world. It’s a great feeling. Try it!

Walz: If you say you love freedom but you don't believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love is not freedom, it is privilege.

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive. No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief. 1/ A 🧵 to explain his plan and how we fight back.
