We are the Noordermeer lab at the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell - Université Paris-Saclay. Interested in 3D genome organization, enhancer-promoter contacts, epigenetics, genomic imprinting, loop extrusion and everything CTCF.

It’s with great sadness that I hear about the passing of Frank Grosveld. I did my PhD in the dpt he was directing. His scientific vision, involvement in all projects and capacity to create a vibrant international community were truly inspiring and one of the reasons why I am where I’m now (1/2)

Frank Grosveld, born in 1948, passed away last Friday. He was a colossal scientist in the transcriptional control of gene expression during development and helped us understand the complex regulation of beta-globin genes. His work will remain as a reference. May he rest in peace.
