๐ŸŒ™ #FantasyIndiesAugust ๐ŸŒ™ 2: Two truths and a lie about me and my WIP: 1) The middle of this book (and consequently the entire series) was in my head from the start. 2) I did not experience any anxiety or imposter syndrome writing this book not once, never. 3) This book is so GOOD. #booksky ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช

I don't post much about my writing these days because there hasn't been much to post about, but I took some much-needed R&R in Des Moines this last week and finished two short stories, both of which have been haunting me for a while. #booksky ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช

Friday, I'll be participating in a panel on Writing, Identity, and Visibility with the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity. I'll be there with my good friend Sunyi Dean, Jennifer Brozek, and other great writers. This is a virtual panel, and you can register now at the link below! #booksky ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช

@adamcbassett.com's map for Dead Malls is one of my favorite things about the book, and a narrative aspect of the story as well. He has created another map for me for my next project, and this one is just as special! #booksky ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช

This was a really fun map I made for @darbyharn.bsky.social's book DEAD MALLS. Since it takes place in a mall, it only made sense that we make it in the style of a mall directoryโ€”with a few handwritten notes. Also, check out DEAD MALLS! It's a fun and nostalgic horror story.

I have a new interview up at I Heart Sapphic, where I talk about Stargun Messenger. The ebook is on sale this week for 99 cents (along with book two)! If you missed the Kickstarter, you can now preorder book three! #indieapril #booksky ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿช iheartsapphfic.com/2026/04/06/a...

Sam Kieth did not bend for comics. Comics bent to him. I won't call his manner of drawing merely a style because that implies some level of artifice. Maybe not since Kirby had mainstream comics seen an artist with less filter between his imagination and the printed page.
