No gods, and only highly competent masters committed to Good Governance. Everything to Ukraine. Democracy should be armed. Fight fascism and genocide everywhere: russia, China, Israel, the USA. Alberta is Canada. From the true North, strong and free.

It is interesting how even the sympathetic Americans do not understand Canadian reaction. When you're trapped in a cell with someone who pulls out a shank and starts talking about carving you up, "jokes" is not the right description, even (especially?) if he's smiling the whole time.

The Canadian boycott isn't a response to the trade war. It's a response to the clowning: 51st state jokes, "Governor Carney," a hockey video of Trump beating up their PM.⁣ ⁣ My guess: the consumer boycott is costing us more than the tariffs ever will. https://youtu.be/lsRhHpwZfOk

I’m a Texan trans kid who almost died because of Ken Paxton. The world should know what he’s done. This was very difficult for me to write, but given what's at stake, I cannot bear to stay silent about what I went through at Paxton's hands. He must not be rewarded for what he's done to trans kids.

Regardless of Talarico’s recent statements on trans people, Paxton cannot be rewarded for the extreme suffering he’s inflicted on me and tens of thousands of Texan trans kids.

If Canada ever grows up to the point of having a foreign intelligence agency. And if that agency makes the obvious conclusions about which countries offer the best ROI. Lots of GOP officials can be taken off the board by leaking a group chat or giving police PC to search their hard drive.

This is one of the very plausible futures for the Republican party. These are the stakes Canada is playing for. I don't think there's any 'back to normal'.

Canada needs to β€œunderstand its place,” said Patrick Wolf, the Republican Party youth committeeman in Idaho’s Kootenai County. β€œIn America’s eyes, Canada should be like Mexico, a subservient trade partner.”

However fucking windy this gets, there will always be a window for restoring Canada-American peace. After all, you've got the death penalty, barbecue, and a big patch of white house that needs burning. We'll bring the beer.

Hey! *whistles* This isn’t a economic disagreement. It isn’t about tariffs. The US means to reduce Canada to the status of a vassal, dependent, client state under American rule. Canada will never surrender and US media needs to get a grip on the base issue here.

The best thing about Vote Blue No Matter Who is that it unloads a lot of cognitive burden. I wanted Tom Steyer to be in the Governor's race, but he's not so I'm gonna vote for Becerra. I don't follow his campaign at all: I'm voting for him because he's not a Republican.

The problem with this entire premise is that it is predicated on the (false) notion that only Americans have agency. The whole strategy being proposed is "Canadians should submit to brutalization and occupation until the median US voter gets mad". You must see why that is a nonstarter for us?

Every proponent of insurgency as Canada's first recourse should read this piece from Jade McGlynn (and the wider TOT Insights project), which shows how digital surveillance, geolocation etc. readily dismantles cells using traditional tradecraft and forces resistance members to operate alone.

The Trap Closes: How Russia Suppresses Resistance in Occupied Ukraine and How We Can Still Help - International Centre for Defence and Security

Resistance to Russian occupation in Ukraine is real, documented, and ongoing, but it must operate under conditions of heavy surveillance and at risk of arrest, torture, and death. Some of the western ...
