President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney signed the 100 Year Partnership Declaration between Ukraine and Canada. Canada was the first Western country to recognise the restoration of Ukraine’s independence on December 2, 1991.

If Canada ever grows up to the point of having a foreign intelligence agency. And if that agency makes the obvious conclusions about which countries offer the best ROI. Lots of GOP officials can be taken off the board by leaking a group chat or giving police PC to search their hard drive.

If you're saying this and you're not killing American tourists and marking Americans attempting to emigrate to Canada for death as likely fifth columnists, your words are empty and meaningless and you're just using them as conversational cudgels rather than an expression of heartfelt beliefs.

The problem with this entire premise is that it is predicated on the (false) notion that only Americans have agency. The whole strategy being proposed is "Canadians should submit to brutalization and occupation until the median US voter gets mad". You must see why that is a nonstarter for us?

Every proponent of insurgency as Canada's first recourse should read this piece from Jade McGlynn (and the wider TOT Insights project), which shows how digital surveillance, geolocation etc. readily dismantles cells using traditional tradecraft and forces resistance members to operate alone.

This is why I believe the DSA has a seat at the table, but they don’t deserve to call all the shots. They come in with a lot of good ideas and enthusiasm, but a wing of their supporters have been troublingly antisemitic, and even supported Putin because somehow Russia’s communist past warrants it.
