Netanyahu doesn’t represent my values, or the values of most American Jews. He is a war criminal and he deserves to be tried for it. The way for me to be safe as a Diaspora Jew is to not be associated with Netanyahu and his crimes. Our self-appointed community leaders seem to want the opposite.
It’s embarrassing that the rabbi of Central Synagogue - one of the most prominent Reform rabbis in the US - is portraying Mamdani’s accurate description of Netanyahu as a war criminal as a sign of antisemitism. This is part of why young people take antisemitism less seriously than they should.

Rs were opposed to reform and unilaterally provided more $$ through reconciliation. Now ICE has enough to run at 4x capacity through 2029 — w/ LESS oversight than before. This is the result.
It's a real testament to how relatively boring (in a good way) Mamdani's been that we're at nearly a week of "a bunch of 5th generation Americans who all live in Nassau County are complaining Italians were left off a map of current NYC immigrant communities"

Sorry, this is very silly, and it’s exactly the same thing we saw during the campaign: A handful of media folks who dislike Mamdani on policy grounds desperately scrounging in bad faith for something they can gin up into an antisemitism narrative, because hey, he’s Muslim, slam dunk, right?

In FY 2026, the U.S. has admitted a total of 7,727 white South Africans, three Afghans (back in November), and nobody else. For reference, the U.S. admitted 100,060 refugees in 2024.
