"someone modded bubsy 4d to make bubsy a goth trans girl and or femboy within 24h of release" is one of those things that makes almost too MUCH sense. no one loves awful 90s platformers more than genderqueer nerds

heard a guy say "you have to access it through the portal" and i was momentarily struck by how sad it is that what he said is so boring :( "accessing it via the portal" should be wonderful. we deserve that at least. it should be cool to access it via the portal and instead it sucks shit

as someone who pays a LOT of attention to indie games, sometimes i discover a weird trend that i feel like i have to document for y'all for example: right now frog based platformers are really popular??? in honor of that here's 11 old, new, and coming soon amphibian games that i think are cool!!

if you wanted to hear a very long discussion about the state of indie games circa 2013ish (and hear us talk about an extremely underrated Michael Brough game as well) look no further than our esteemed group on this episode

A 1994 Japanese Nintendo catalog included a sample image to illustrate the capabilities of Mario Paint that depicts "KOOPA'S WIFE BIBINBA". While the character is likely not canon, her name is based on a discarded name for Bowser, so it may have been drawn by a Nintendo employee.

A drawing in Mario Paint of a female Bowser-like character, captioned "KOOPA'S WIFE BIBINBA"
The names considered for Bowser by Miyamoto were Yukke and Bibinba, after yukhoe, a Korean raw meat dish and bibimbap, a Korean rice and vegetable dish. The name Miyamoto ended up choosing, Kuppa, is based on gukbap, a Korean beef soup.

BIG HOPS combines Mario Odyssey-style fluid movement with Breath of the Wild-style systemic interactions and A Hat in Time-style wit and charm. I created a perpetual chain reaction that spawned hundreds of items with their own physics and the game engine barely even blinked.
