I'm so thankful for the amazing Netrunner community, I'd been slowly stepping away from the toxic competitive Magic scene for the last 10ish years and in 2023 I made the decision to play Netrunner full-time as my competitive outlet. It was one of the best things I ever did for my mental health.

Played a big Magic tournament today after not playing for a few yrs. I thought I had a decent shot but the reality is that without practice a format like 7PH will humble you with its complexity and sheer volume of played cards. Ended 2-3 with two losses due to me not knowing how cards work.
First time leveling to 99. I started this character back in 2020 a year before D2R using the PlugY mod for classic LoD. An absolutely horrendous grind that I wouldn't really recommend to anyone, but I'm glad I did it
In response to the unprecedented number of game developers laid off this year, we have created a bundle on itch to benefit a Game Industry Hardship Fund, managed by @videogameworkers.bsky.social. More than 100 games for 10+ bucks! Please share widely and donate generously! itch.io/b/3802/game-...

My personal favorite is the Splayd. An Aussie invention that's basically a spork with straight sides for cutting softer materials. I had a set shipped over and I wuvs them so.
we're now at the 'commercial tv economy guy posting about how fucked this industry is' stage of market collapse

The only retro game buyer’s guide you’ll ever need
Oh great. Another damned buyer’s guides clogging up the internet. Well, not quite. When it comes to buying old games there’s a lot of talk—rightly so—about how to spot bootlegs, ho…

Related: I am still on the job hunt for games writing/narrative design/game design work. Doesn’t even need to be full time.
Isn’t lost on me that after losing job opportunities in part due to the rise of genAI I’m now going into a career where it’s wreaking a different sort of havoc lol
Stop the press! What you're seeing here is footage of "EyePatch Production's" #3DO recreation of #SuperMario 64! This early build was made from the ground up with the system's limitations in mind. Truly an outstanding feat! Full video: youtu.be/I2Omh33UUJA #retrogaming #homebrew #gaming #Mario

@pcgamer.com used my post a couple of times in this article, which i'm cool with, but it'd be even cooler if they reviewed Final Profit just as it hits 👍 overwhelmingly positive 👍 on Steam ---/ while having never been covered by a major games outlet /--- 😘 www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg-ma...
RPG Maker forums are closing, nearly 15 years of knowledge and online culture are at risk of being wiped
Gotcha Gotcha Games is launching a new forum, which is good, but says it won't archive the old one, which is very bad.

GotchaGotchaGames dropped today that they're shutting down the official rpgmaker forums next week, and taking down access entirely come December... Final Profit wouldn't exist without these forums, there's so much knowledge about to be lost. I'm mortified. forums.rpgmakerweb.com/forums/impor...

cool paper arguing LLMs can be implemented as a shitload of goats in Age of Empires II... thus it'd be silly to assume / project human-like consciousness onto it
This paper doesn't use the term "intentional stance," but it does really expose that imputation of consciousness is an act by the observer that's usually not based on dispassionate analysis of the observed's internal structures. It's just vibes, and those aren't sufficient. arxiv.org/pdf/2605.31514
