Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

Itโ€™s pretty clever, really. Wildberries is the key supply source for vast numbers of Russian small businesses. Most of them have taken out loans from the central bank. Thereโ€™s no insurance to cover if those supplies are destroyed so bankruptcy looms. The bank is left with unsustainable debt.

Fascinating change in BBC news bulletins about Reform. Farage announcement on small boats only gets the third spot and is balanced by critics saying he's trying to distract from allegations over his finances. Quite the change from the uncritical coverage earlier this year.

RefUK, RW media, & Eurofash are plainly trying to whip up a panic about this. Any serious report must begin by explaining that Ceuta is in Africa - not mainland Spain - and 48k+ of the 50k crossers were already returned. It is frightening how many still don't know this. Please share on all socials.

Spain's prime minister has blamed trafficking gangs after about 60,000 migrants crossed into the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta from Morocco. At least 57 people died during the surge, according to local media."Daily Mail and Daily Express from this weekend, with front page headlines "Ministers MUST stop the Spanish border invaders reaching UK" and "SPANISH BORDER CRISIS IS 'WAKE-UP CALL' FOR UK", respectively.

It was SUCH a joy to see so many of you there and meet so many after. I think we gave everyone a cuddle, but apologies if you slipped through. We shall rectify the oversight next time. And did @pimlicat.bsky.social not manage to get the most in-demand surprise guest? We really do love you lot. A x

Had a surprise guest at the "Authoritarian Playbook - what Britain can learn from America" event with @mayaonstage.bsky.social @lincolnproject.us @quietriotpod.bsky.social @bylinetimespod.bsky.social - gooooo Count @countbinface.bsky.social !!! www.leicestersquaretheatre.com/show/the-aut...

I think Count Binface's chances are undersold I don't necessarily (yet) think he'll win it, but I reckon he could do v well in Clacton: 1. He's the main opposition to Farage 2. It's funny. People like a good laugh 3. It would mean no 2nd byelection in a few months 4. Tourism boom & global fame

Burnham: Social Care is a huge challenge that demands a proper longterm solution. It can be done if parties work together. Most parties: PM is right and we'll work with him for a solution. Tories: PM is right and we'll work with him for a solution. BUT ONLY IF HE CAN DO IT FOR FREE. Grow TF up.

Gil-galad was an Elvis-king. Of him, the twanglers sadly sing; The last whose realm was fair and free between the Mountains and the Sea. But long ago, he rode away, and where he dwelleth none can say, for into darkness fell his star in Swindon. Where the shadows are.
