Spider-Man will always work in every visual medium because (a) he is a Normal Teenager with Normal Problems and Secret Gifts, and (b) swinging between skyscrapers in daylight is awesome. What’s weird is that other superheroes are billionaires and aliens who either fly or prowl around at nighttime

I'm seeing a lot of SUPERHERO MOVIES ARE BACK posts in the wake of #BrandNewDay's success. Spider-Man movies were breaking box office records well before the MCU existed. They are a cinema phenomenon onto themselves, because Spider-Man is a singularly resonant and relatable character.

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

Person who feels people should be allowed to dislike and even outright hate the art I like without legions of ppl acting like insecure babies towards them for it (It's me).

Which was directed by Bassim Tariq, the same guy who was originally going to direct Mahershala in Blade. The silver lining is we're getting a much better and more intrepid movie than the one we would have gotten...
