I moved cities and walked into my new job and realised within a couple of hours that it wasn't for me. I handed in my resignation on day three only because the woman who'd hired me wasn't available the day before, but I stuck around for a month to not leave them high and dry.

In honor of the fired lady tell me about your shortest job tenure. I worked at a candy store for less than 2 weeks when I was like 16

#nzpol Waiting in the car at Hauraki Corner on my way to work and a small group of Nat supporters are waving placards. At the same time a homeless man is wandering through the waiting cars with a cardboard sign asking for any help. Absolutely brutal metaphor for where we are now.

Can I get some #photography advice on Samsung phones? A heavy mist descended last night - very 1950s movie-noir - and I took pics on the Nighttime, Portrait and standard Photos settings. But they all turned out light-saturated with streetlights as orbs. How can I make my phone retain the darkness?

We live in an information-fractured society. We no longer have the 6pm news and morning paper as our only mass-media; instead, we consume news on many and varied platforms. The book's strength isn't whether it has devastating revelations: it's that it gathers various info about TPU in one place.

So I don't think this is the election-upturning publication that about 400 people were looking for at Unity Books tonight. It brings together much of what we know about the NZTU and adds some details, but it doesn't shoot down the organisation or its founders in significant ways.
