“We pick off Republicans by saying that we take the burden off of employers that are paying obscene rates for health care for their employees. You know how much better that can make our economy, make their businesses,” Troy Jackson told the Prospect. buff.ly/ARDyy1q

Think about how much time and resources Google had to waste to prevent its AI chatbot from accidentally saying something that injured the president's fragile ego. Corruption is truly a tax on capitalism www.mediaite.com/media/tech/g...

Google’s AI Chatbot Refuses to Answer Question of Who Won 2020 Presidential Election

Google's AI chatbot would not give a straight up answer when asked who won the 2020 Presidential election, instead pointing users to the FEC.

If this woman appears in WA's voter rolls, it is almost certain to have been an administrative error due to our Motor-Voter system. When you get a driver's license, the default is to register you. And now, she has died, due to fear of out-of-control CBP/ICE. 🙁

A Canadian woman died while facing U.S. voter fraud allegations because she was too afraid to leave her western Washington home to seek medical care, according to her son.

Jezebel’s new owner is reportedly deleting old blogs that aren’t “brand safe,” which means that this very timely investigation I did into a sketchy reality TV producer pushing a rape lawsuit against Trump is seemingly just gone. When I click the link it just goes to their homepage

Screenshot of a Google search result of a Jezebel headline that reads “here’s how that wild lawsuit accusing Trump of raping a 13-year-old…”

Trump said in Michigan yesterday that everyone in a Louisiana community got $10K checks from a neighboring data center. “Everybody in the community got a check for $10,000, and they loved it. They said, ‘Where do we do our next data center?’” A local news fact-check finds that no such checks exist

The one defense I can think of for downplaying shocking new rape allegations against the president from redacted portions of the Epstein Files is that it's an attempt to swing the midterms, and journalists shouldn't let themselves be used that way. So what's the Cheescake Factory controversy, then?

I emailed Patrick Healy, assistant managing editor for standards and trust at NYT, to ask why their story about a House report with new details of rape allegations against the President of the United States included neither those details, nor a single use of the word "rape." archive.is/1s9AM

Hi Patrick-

I'm reaching out regarding a story NYT published yesterday by Michael Gold titled "Democrats Call for Special Counsel to Scrutinize Trump ties to Epstein." It's about a report published yesterday by the House Judiciary Democrats further detailing President Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein and new details about allegations of rape against Trump.

One such allegation is from a Swiss model named Beatrice Keul, who the report says alleges in 1993 Trump "grabbed Keul from behind and forcibly raped her; in the process, tearing her dress and causing bleeding and bruising on multiple parts of her body.” These details are new, yet they didn't appear anywhere in Gold's story. In fact, the word "rape" does not appear in the story even once, despite multiple allegations. The story seems much more focused on the timing of the reports—a week before Election Day—and much less concerned with the gruesome details.

As someone who read all 53 pages of the report, I would like to understand NYT's avoidance of the word "rape" in a story about a report concerning rape allegations. If you could explain the rationale, I think it would be quite useful for me and for others.

Thank you,
Marisa

Trump's Texas rally was all childish name-calling, anti-trans hate, and dimwitted boasts about plundering Venezuela. They're not even pretending to talk to independents and moderates any longer. Their closing strategy is pure MAGA porn all the way down. New from me: newrepublic.com/article/2172...

As Trump’s rallies get weirder and weirder, it’s worth asking: Who exactly is he trying to persuade?

The really weird thing about the Google AI search on the 2020 election is that it'll tell you all sorts of other bad things about Trump. Impeachment, Jan 6th, Epstein friendship, etc. But specifically won't answer a very straightforward question about the election.
