I did not work from home during covid. I worked for a regional coca-cola company and was out there every day of the week merching coca-cola where NOBODY wore their mask, and I knew people who worked at grocery stores that died because of it. My prior boss, who merched bread, was one of them

The biggest problem in the world today is too many fucking people who are not feeling the effects of the stupid shit they cause. So many people look at a Rube Goldberg machine of causes and effects and say the first cause didn't cause the last effect because they are never exposed to consequences

writing sex scenes is funny sometimes, 'cause sometimes I'm doing something really good but I have the wherewithal to perfect it as I go, and sometimes I get into it and by the time I lose my focus for just a second I'm practically sitting in a puddle 🤣

playing lancer with my friends makes me feel better but now I'm thinking about etiquette training the pilot who gained a name because she survived only to come back with an upgraded mech and los if she loses another time we get to adopt and etiquette train her right? 🤣

An important missing piece of information on that transgender wage gap graph is that trans women quickly learn that they need to make themselves indispensable to their jobs to not get pushed out, so every cent of that 60¢ is earned with twice the labor of their cis colleagues

I'm gonna be real, I'm kinda... not crashing out right now. I am on the opposite end of the country from my father who is getting a mass in his lung biopsied and masses don't typically appear in your lung if they're not cancer, and yet. ...And yet I can't feel anything.

None of that sympathy ever finds its way to actual queer or non-conforming men, and certainly not to trans women who experience the brunt of the violence male homosociality is founded on. But we must all shed tears for the men who just NEED to secure their manhood by extracting it from our bodies.

I'm not even trying to talk myself up here, but as someone who is fully aware of what the consequences are for not properly embodying patriarchal manhood---I experienced them for years, after all---I'm just wondering why men deserve our pity for conforming to a regime of misogynistic violence.

You know as someone who was being punished, oftentimes violently, for being insufficiently misogynistic and too emotional years before I even realized I wanted to transition, I'm remarkably unmoved by these appeals to how hard it is for men who have no choice but to be angry woman-beaters.

Under a regime where trans women have been made the sin-eaters for men's violence, where our rights and dignity and healthcare have been stripped from us due to fearmongering about the supposed threat we pose to women, our allies call bog-standard straight men secret gays and trannies. Fuck off.

People don't recognize that they're doing this, but that excuse only goes so far. If your first instinct is to say that men who do the things "real men" do all the time aren't real men when they're facing consequences for the patriarchal violence they commit, examine why you feel that way.

It's not "too woke" to say that straight men who rape women should be reviled for being rapists, not tarred as secretly queer. To imply they're gay, or that they wear dresses, to distance them from manhood, is to insist that their violence is "deviant" rather than utterly banal and normative.

i am not a zenos apologist but have you considered how much better zenos as a character would be if he were a woman tbh because then she chased you down to the literal end of the universe because you, miss warrior of light, are the only thing that ever made her feel anything

sometimes I get fucked up because what the fuck do you mean 'sapphic' when you won't even let them be together, kiss each other, fuck each other. The average sapphic book doesn't let them do any of that shit and it's kinda hard to write a women loving women book that doesn't have women loving women

Cis people do face some stigma for resorting to "unnatural" medical interventions, but using these technologies to affirm their "natural", "correct" (assigned) sex has always been more tolerated than trans people changing ours. This is not hypocrisy; it's gender working as intended.

1) it's not gender-affirming care when it's being foisted upon ppl w/o their consent. this policy is *invasive* 2) anti-trans GAC legislation is *also invasive* as it's designed to take away control of our own bodies. LET'S CALL IT INVASIVE! LET'S PROMOTE BODILY AUTONOMY RATHER THAN MAKING GAC JOKES

When guys are like “that’s not rape, all my friends have done that,” that’s exactly what we’re talking about. That’s the problem. Rape is so common and unpunished that a guy could casually reveal all his friends are rapists and not see it as a problem.
