Reminder that if you see something horrific, there is good evidence that playing Tetris as soon as possible helps. Giving yourself PTSD from seeing photos or film clips doesn’t help anyone.

Blanket bans on trans youth in sports have never been about fairness or science or protecting girls' sports. They are entirely about alleviating the discomfort of bigots who don't want trans youth on sports teams or anywhere else in the public square. That's all they are.

Thinking about that article about how publishers are pulling away from queer kidlit. Maybe queer kidlit could be more successful if publishers had any initiative to actually market and place those books within the communities that want them but capitalism am I right.
