Still can't believe there was no Neverwinter starter set to coincide with the D&D movie, or that the only Baldur's Gate product was a chapter hidden away in an otherwise unrelated hell book. Compare that to the publishing industry, which revamps book covers to match movie posters and makes bank.

Shenanigans [shuh-NAN-ig-enz] - Silly or high-spirited behavior; mischief; prankishness. “I expected your customary shenanigans the moment you produced a monocle; I was, however, entirely unprepared for the ferret, the 55-gallon drum of treacle, and, most inexplicably, the Ébène String Quartet.”

RPG title length and degree of poetic nature is inversely proportionate to page count. A zine may be called "We are But God's Worms in this Dessicated Railyard." A game over 400 pages should be called "Fantasy RPG."

The D6 dice pool is the perfect resolution system. You can't fight evolution! The D100 Call of Cthulhu 7E added Bonus Dice and Penalty Dice. The D20 Dungeons & Dragons 5E added Advantage and Disadvantage. On a long enough timeline, every system creeps towards the pool. It's tabletop Carcinisation.

Reading the excellent extended examples of play in back of Mythic Bastionland, I glanced at the page and misread "Getting Stuck" as "Getting a Snack" For a just a moment, I was convinced Chris McDowall was about to walk me through the process of how to pause the game to grab gummy worms and a coke

Last year I wrote about the importance of RPG designers maintaining an FAQ, and not just letting answers to gameplay questions stay hidden on Discord. Now, that seems more important than ever. Probably a good idea to scroll up and copy everyone's helpful answers into a text document for posterity.
