I just received updated info about Nuvaxovid pharmacy ordering in Ontario from Sanofi so I have redone part of this thread and made a document available to download/print (thanks @penelopejmorrow.bsky.social for the idea).

It's hard to believe politicians are earnest about fixing healthcare when they keep adding to the pile of chronic morbidity: burning fossil fuels, worsening air pollution, fueling wildfires, letting airborne infections spread in healthcare & schools...

Listened to Dr Crystal Gail Fraser speak about her new book last night. Intended to be a guide to answer all the questions about Treaty you might have. And be accessible and not academic in presentation. Lots of story-telling from her nation included. Highly recommended!

Dear journalists, If you're looking to interview a doctor on Covid in 2026, a good probing question is whether they wear a respirator mask in their practice. If not, maybe time to source a new expert

Nearly at the point where public health traditionally starts to realize they may need to take an outbreak seriously (that's where it threatens to escape from Africa and kill people who have influence over public health budgets). Still assuming it's not airborne - without proof. 🙄

This is obviously a worrying development, especially considering the fact that air travel was involved. I am considerably more concerned by the ongoing outbreak of Ebola in this region than I am by current events in Russia. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Oh, sweet jeebuz, CLEAN THE AIR already. 🤬 It's not rocket science. Ventilation (even open windows). Air filtration at building scale (e.g., higher MERV in HVAC), room scale (portable air cleaners), and even personal scale (masks). Maybe also stop withholding pediatric virus testing 🤬

A randomized controlled trial in Canada finds that, In preschoolers with high-morbidity, viral-induced asthma, vitamin D3 supplementation did not significantly reduce severe exacerbation or respiratory viral infection rates www.thelancet.com/journals/ecl...

Just a girl and her* airplane 🥰 * actually it is emphatically the Canadian Aviation Museum’s airplane but they do let me fly it a lot

Me standing on the wing of a yellow De Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk, on a sunny afternoon. I’m wearing a flight suit and aviators and trying to look cool, which may or may not be effective, but the lighting is really good at least

the issue with retailers like Alibaba and Amazon is that they have a tendency to ship counterfeit products and sometimes misrepresent products (e.g. show certifications which do not appear on product you get). A lot of the time this is a more trivial issue but not for electronics or medical things.
