Unless there's some real just-so stuff going on this would allow the construction of a Maxwell's Demon, which can't exist (because it would require creating information out of nothing). So probably not "heat", but infra-red radiation, which are *not* equivalent (IR can have any angular distribution)

This is a bad move. We should be investing in molten salt reactors designed in Canada. SMRs are the last gasp of water-cooled nuclear, which is a dead end. Molten salt is the future. We could be a leader on this, like so much else, but choose the wrong path.

I don't know who needs to hear this (well I do), but if you start a sentence with "I'm not bullying you," then have a pattern of ending sentences with derogatory comments and insults about someone's mask being a "mental illness," you are in fact bullying them

Clean indoor air is helpful against disease all the time, not just episodicly "in a pandemic". We treat drinking water *all the time*, not just during cholera outbreaks. Until we get over this medical/reactive mindset, airborne pandemics will continue. Put engineers in charge of public health!

I won't encourage or discourage. Everyone is different. I would suggest thinking about is how much doing nothing would impact you and if surgery would provide any noticeable major gains. That's a good conversation to have with your orthopedic surgeon. When I'm awake, it just reaching above my head.

It’s always odd to me when I get asked if I am wearing a mask because I am sick. In my experience, these days most people wearing a mask are doing so to prevent themselves getting sick, and most people who are sick don’t wear a mask at all.

There are many reasons this outbreak is being tough to control. There is one probable reason we can quickly control. Infectious aerosol. Upgrade PPE. Rethink contact tracing pathways.
