This is a great example of how public transit can very easily and seamlessly fit within the urban landscape (through a park in this case). For the same number of people moved by cars, you would probably need four lanes of traffic - a huge scar in our cities!

I'm going to a concert in Toronto tonight so I decided to take the weekend Go train from Guelph to Toronto for the first time! Quite a few people waiting for the train. This is a game changer and I hope more trains are added!

😲 If this existed now, my life would be so much better! I commute by bus to Hamilton four times a week. In my story for the Guelph Transportation Summit (Oct 18th - taaguelph.com/summit), I talk about taking the train from McMaster to Guelph.

Fun Fact: Ever heard of the GO Transit Hamilton-Guelph Line? This line was proposed in 1989 by the Think Rail Group, as part of a larger proposal for transit in Ontario. This line would've travelled from the City of Hamilton to Guelph, linking 3 cities together in the western half of the GTHA.
