Did you know that if you don't go under the tires, it's not "technically" a vehicle collision and the police won't file a report? Also even if you provide the plate number/model of the car that hit you, they will give the info to traffic control but say "don't expect them to find her or anything"

I just got hit by a car while crossing the street ! Polling the room: if you rolled a pedestrian up onto your hood and knocked them into the intersection, would you pull over and check if they're okay or would you just kinda drive off? Because what this driver chose might surprise you!

People are going to try to tell you spooky season is over at the end of October, but you don’t have to listen to them. If you want, it can be spooky season all year.

Hey, y’all! This is a pivotal election year, and I’m here to raise awareness to vote in the US. We all have our own reasons as to why getting to the polls is important this year, but no matter what they are, it’s more important than ever to show up. Election Date: November 3, 2026

For those struggling with BlueSky's awful alt text bug, you can type the alt text in the body of the post and cut/paste into the alt text box, but make sure you do any needed editing before you do so, because you cannot sensibly edit alt text once you paste it without deleting and redoing it. <3

Hi, @bsky.app, your alt text box no longer functions on mobile and you need to prioritize fixing that ASAP. The cursor does not appear in the correct place and inserts and deletes characters in unpredictable ways. Speech-to-text also does not register properly within the text box.

My go-to explanation: You have a foot of water in your basement so you call a plumber. He says "Well it's not your boiler." OK, grand, that's one thing it isn't, but *there's still a foot of water*. This is why I often wish my friends "useful results" on tests, not "all clear". We're still ill.

Pay attention to the ableism being thrown around with respect to Christina Applegate finding out she doesn’t have MS. People acting like it’s a relief or a blessing. Like she’s “better off now”. She’s still sick. She’s just sick without answers. I guarantee it’s not a “relief” for her.

i said that if I ever got to my third novel then I would permit myself a really gay one, and I am pleased to announce that I have packed a truly immersion-shattering number of homosexual warriors and wizards into this book KNIGHT DEVIANT releases in summer 2027 🫏🌼

the US cover of Knight Deviant by Oliver Darkshire, in purple with yellow text, showing the starlit silhouette of a donkey with a flower in its mouth, and two men fleeing through the knight, one holding candle. the other is a lizard, but what can you do.
