I don’t follow how ending the shutdown is a work around of the primary system, but we can’t recall federal elected offices. It was debated at the Constitutional Convention and rejected.

I know that primarying Dems is the call to action for the moment, but why can’t we recall them too when they vote against their constituents wishes or ignore public outcry? Their manipulation in ending the shutdown for a pinky promise shows them working around primaries.
