It's out now in Nature Metabolism 💉 Most obesity meds hit 1-2 hormone receptors (GLP-1R ± GIPR), and they're quite effective, but doses a being pushed to achieve greater weight loss = more side effects. We combined retatrutide (GLP-1R/GIPR/GCGR) with cagrilintide (AMLNR/CALCR) in obese rats.

Cagrilintide and retatrutide combination therapy enhances weight loss and metabolic outcomes in obese male rats - Nature Metabolism

Combination therapy with retatrutide and cagrilintide lowers body weight and improves markers of metabolic health in obese, male rats more efficiently than equimolar monotherapies and matched-dose com...

Exercise timing and circadian regulation of metabolism in type 2 diabetes

The circadian system regulates daily rhythms in metabolism and hormone secretion; however, in type 2 diabetes, disrupted clock gene oscillations in sk…

We recently welcomed two new members to our group @cbmr.science Postdoc Salim Hanna will be working on identifying translation-oriented approaches targeting #AMPK to improve muscle metabolic function. Research assistant, Frederik Gouliaev will be investigating AMPK and its phosphatases in the group.

#Inuit genetic adaptations, evolved over 1000s of years as they adapted to a cold climate and consumed a diet largely consisting of marine mammals, influence circulating protein levels in the blood and may modify their risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease today. cbmr.ku.dk/news/2025/an...

Ancient arctic adaptations may influence modern disease risk

Inuit in Greenland possess a unique genome, which has evolved over thousands of years as they adapted to a cold climate and consumed a diet largely consisting of marine mammals. Now, a team of interna...
