Mild backsliding. Today he has again decided he to abstain from kibble, but he is eager for treats. And while he was not exactly reluctant to walk, he was not enthusiastic. Perhaps this is a new phase of life. Shorter walks and the dog equivalent of Doritos.

His PSA is now down to undetectable and his recovery is proceeding better than anyone could have predicted. His doc has cleared him for work and he's looking forward to being cancer-free.
I hate that we have to do this, but I'm glad we get to, if that makes sense. I'm weary of a world where we underpay and underfund teachers, our secular saints; but I'm glad we have the tech to be able to reach across the void and help them when we can

Something @jamellebouie.net doesn't address in this video is what happens when doctors won't accept Medicaid. States that don't fix this (looking at you, California) are giving a big "fuck you" to their low-income residents and they're telling us to not expect programs to actually work.

California's Medicaid program, Medi-Cal, WAS comparable to access to private plans several years ago, but reimbursement rates are so low that the number of doctors accepting it has plummeted to almost zero in some areas. I don't hear Becerra or any Dem state legislators talking about it.
