This is true in US universities as well. The arts and humanities more than pay for themselves through enrollments and low overhead and in so doing subsidize expensive STEM disciplines

EDSITEment - a project National Endowment for the Humanities with 30 years of development and over 1,000 lesson plans and resources for K-16 students that attracted 2.5 million visitors per year - appears to have been archived and is no longer accessible. This is what the #NEH has become.

An obscure methodological tweak -- a change in the source of data on the price of legal services -- resulted in meaningfully lower monthly PCE inflation in January. Someone just posted about how they don't care if their students use AI as long as the text conveys the ideas the students meant to convey. The thing is, you don't know exactly what you think until you write it. And if some prefab thing pops up, you're liable to decide that was what you thought.
