okay I'm not gonna get mad at anyone who is just learning this today but I wish this was a bigger part of the common understanding of childhood. I know so many other people who lived through this. It's something I'm fairly open about, so I guess that helps other people open up too.

as an addendum, i want to say i know there are two things happening with cozy/cute black queerness in fandom. one good, and one nasty 1. black women wanting to see themselves presented as sweet and good and cute! excellent no notes 2. non-blacks doing it bc for them its 'less threatening' blackness
