My ice-cold boring take that will definitely not go viral is that a primary result with a margin of victory of roughly 1 percent tells you precisely nothing about The Future Of The Party.

honestly can't stress enough, as a former family law attorney, how depressingly common Max Miller's behavior and words are, right down to the petty fixation on custody procedure and rules when faced with allegations of shocking violence.

Rep. Max Miller: "When I was reported for child abuse of my daughter for a broken collarbone, my daughter was in my ex-wife's care 9 out of the last 11 days and she took her to the emergency room, which is a contempt violation from our shared parenting plan."

The mass-nullification of contracts made by our government is illegal, has shattered our scientific research capacity, and will hobble trust in the ability of the American people to rely on their own government, permanently.

A federal appeals court has ruled the EPA “likely acted unlawfully” in canceling billions of dollars in Biden-era climate grants. The funding remains temporarily frozen while the Trump administration decides whether to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

In a conference call hosted by the White House Faith Office on July 30 with thousands of religious leaders around the country, Blanche said he was committed to achieving policy solutions so that the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision “becomes permanent in every single state.”

The recording of Blanche's call with faith leaders hosted by the White House Faith Office was still live as of a few hours ago, but has since been taken down.

it's not why *everything* sucks, but having all three branches of the federal government captured by thieves, abusers, bigots, and cowards is definitely why a lot of things suck

Stop the false equivalence. No other President sued his own government to secure immunity for himself and his family, created a fund to reward cop beaters, and demanded prosecution of his political enemies. Trump’s weaponization of DOJ is unprecedented and you just endorsed it.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com · yesterday

Tillis admits Trump is weaponizing the DOJ during his speech announcing he'll vote for Todd Blanche: "Maybe it's a little bit more intense in this administration than the last one ... I'm going to support Mr Blanche's nomination"

Trump is still lying through his teeth about vandalism at the reflecting pool rather than admitting his utter failure. Yesterday he did it by posting, today in person in a room full of reporters. I cannot overstate his much I hate liars.

It's really hard to convey just how corrupt "The President owns and runs a social media site where he often posts decrees. Companies can pay to get the messages early". That sounds made up but here we are

Denny Carter@dennycarter.bsky.social · 2d ago

heard an interview recently with an anonmyous wall street bro who said his employer would not subscribe to the president's truth social insider trading scheme because they did not want to go to prison when the rule of law returns

Very good @brianbeutler.bsky.social look at the folly of imaging that Dems can win young men over the long haul "with a dozen more Rogan appearances and a ten percent increase in bearded senators." Instead try "demonstrating an interest in their fellowship." www.offmessage.net/p/maga-donal...

The right discredited itself. The left can't win them back with beards and podcast appearances alone.

Moreno statement on Miller. Remember: Max Miller worked in Trump's White House and played a key role in January 6 (if nothing else, as one of the people who talked Trump OUT of sending 10K Guards out so he could march on the Capitol, Julius Caesar like).

As a father and husband, I can tell you the last two years have been pure hell for my wife Bridget, our daughter Emily, me, and our entire family in the aftermath of Emily's divorce.

It has been horrific to watch this play out in full public view, all while knowing an innocent two-year-old girl is caught in the middle. Our priority has always been protecting our daughter and our granddaughter. Out of concern for the safety of my family, I hoped to keep this matter private but Max Miller’s increasingly erratic and dangerous behavior has made that impossible.

As he has admitted privately, Max Miller needs serious psychological help. He is a danger to my daughter, and I hold my breath every minute he has custody of my granddaughter.

If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them. He should not serve in the House of Representatives. I believe Max Miller needs to seek professional help to end the clear pattern of abuse he has left in his wake. I believe he should not be free to continue endangering others until he does.

I ran for office because I wanted to make a difference for the country that gave me every opportunity to succeed, and to leave this nation better for my children and grandchildren. That sacrifice has been especially hard on my wife Bridget, whose big heart and steady support have never wavered. I owe it to her, to Emily, and to my granddaughter to speak the truth now.

New: We found 50 cops who misused Flock cameras and other license-plate readers for personal purposes, often to spy on their girlfriends or ex-wives. He "watched every single move I made. ... Who do you turn the chief of police in to?" wapo.st/3S6rTuo

She left her ex. He secretly tracked her through a network of policing cameras.

Flock’s array of license-plate cameras was built to fight crime. But at least 50 law enforcement officers were charged with or accused of misusing it and other systems.

A freelance reporter has been fighting a subpoena from the Trump administration seeking to force him to reveal his sources for a New York Times article about a failed top secret mission in North Korea, according to people familiar with the matter.

A previously undisclosed subpoena, involving reporting on a failed SEAL Team 6 mission in North Korea, reflects the government’s expanding campaign to investigate leaks of secrets.

There were two elections in the past twelve months that show what an electorate with a truly asleep Republican base looks like. Republicans likely won't have as low turnout in absolute numbers but if Democrats turn out big (looks like they will), we can replicate this nationally. Who's ready?

I decided to use my creative and persuasive writing skills to write this important message. Voting matters. We need to make sure the Republican Party loses big in 2026 and beyond as punishment for embracing far right ideology and the fear-driven cult of Trumpism.

This is a persuasive message to encourage people to turnout for Democrats to end the madness once and for all. I encourage you to retweet this and for a bonus, share it outside of BlueSky because if you are already voting, the only way to add votes is to try to make other people vote.

Some might see this and assume it’s fake, but Trump actually published it. The White House perpetrated a fraud on the public, and after the DOJ was forced to abandon a baseless prosecution, Trump doubled down on the self-satisfying fiction he prefers to reality and threw Pirro under the bus.
