That Road Safety Foundation graphic is either horrific AI slop or an utter work of genius on the difficulty some folks have in navigating our streets.

Pedestrians too, as evidenced in many thousands of small examples: signs for traffic (“Lights ahead” etc) plonked on footways causing an obstruction to wheel/pushchairs etc which can’t easily, let alone safely, dodge onto the road to pass them

It also shows the lack of resilience in the network given there was no easy or obvious diversion.
