It was always strange to call the genocide in Gaza a war, but it's even more bizarre when there is a ceasefire and Israel has killed 1200 Palestinians since then. Even if the Guardian doesn't want to use the term genocide "war" doesn't capture one sided slaughter of civilians
Donald Trump stands out historically in one way. He has demilitarized the US military more quickly than any other political leader in US history. A full blown pacifist would have struggled to throw away weapons faster than he has.

I suppose it does sound a bit silly, but - my wife has two terribly kitsch porcelain figurines, a dalmatian puppy and a kitten, which were gifts from a much-loved aunt, hence their sentimental value which stopped them going to the charity shop years ago.
