Have to be clear just how dangerous this is. If it continues, it effectively removes constitutional rights from an entire class of people. Imagine you had to fear that if you criticize the regime, any error on paperwork filled out by your family decades ago could be used to strip your citizenship.

KRISTI NOEM: I'm confident Ilhan Omar will finally be held accountable for her crimes? BENNY JOHNSON: What are those crimes? NOEM: When people apply to come to this country, if you go back and find that anything could be wrong or misrepresented, that's when it voids or cancels their citizenship

aside from everything else, the hands-down best answer to "if I loved Lonesome Dove and wish I could read Lonesome Dove again for the first time, what should I read next" is imo obviously Colson Whitehead's Harlem Trilogy, the final book of which came out this year

I’m outraged by this attack on Representative Omar. Trump and his DOJ have a bizarre obsession with tearing down Minnesota, our leaders and our communities. This latest action, even as voting has already started in Minnesota, is a transparent attempt to interfere in our elections.

My treasured Anne Carson story: A few years ago, she attended the party for a book I’d worked on, and when I told her how much I loved her work, she said—without missing a beat—“Well, I love your editing.” 💯🥹❤️

If you're in these states, *TODAY* is deadline to register to vote. Arizona, Arkansas Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas. Even if you think you've registered: doesn't hurt to check! And there's a lot happening across them. A thread with stakes on each. ⬇️

As an aside, maybe you felt your high income and elevated caste status made you white adjacent enough to justify a Trump vote because they would never come for you. Looks like the joke’s on you, uncle

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but just fucking don’t film or photograph strangers who are just minding their business and not hurting anyone. I don’t care if they’re dressed weird, or “faking disabled” (they probably aren’t), or are adorable together. Just don’t.
