Not everyone buys kids toys to cope, some people just love that shit. But when the numbers go up, specifically for 'collectors', like... that's probably mostly cope 😭and like w/e, cope it up. At least some cool industries are getting support like w/e I guess

This kinda makes me super sad. Not that adults buying kids toys is inherently sad like hell yeah whatever, but the scale of this just makes me think about how shitty things are. From 'thats when I remember being happy' to 'We can't afford to have kids, but I was looking forward to sharing toys..."

I like that they're doing classic and modern, but I also feel like they shouldn't restrict classic to 2D and modern to 3D. if they keep focusing on doing the same kind of game just because of the chosen art style/direction, it's going to make each game in that pillar blend in with one another imo.

BREAKING: Takashi Iizuka has confirmed that they'll continue to "evolve" Classic Sonic alongside Modern Sonic, seemingly confirming future Classic Sonic projects. #SonicNews In an interview with InvenGlobal Iizuka stated that there are 3 pillars of Sonic: Modern, Classic, & Racing. Full quote:

If you have any concepts or features you'd like to attempt in the next title, could you share a subtle hint with us? Iizuka: Of course, we are always working on new titles. Even now, we have unannounced projects in development and underway. As I mentioned around the release of 'Sonic Frontiers', I consider it a foundation for 3D Sonic titles. In particular, elements built around open-zone spaces are aspects that could influence future Sonic titles, and we are currently developing with that in mind. To add to that, we consider 2D Sonic based on Classic Sonic, 3D-based Modern Sonic, and racing games as the three major pillars of the Sonic franchise. Right now, we aim to thoroughly satisfy the demand for racing games through 'Sonic Racing'. Of course, we also plan to continue evolving both Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic going forward. However, it's difficult to say that all three genres hold exact equal standing as pillars. The core center among them is 3D-based Modern Sonic. 2D Sonic and racing can be seen as elements supporting that center. While 2D Sonic and 3D Sonic feature the same characters, they are completely different games with distinct play styles and difficulty levels. If either were to disappear, a beloved branch of the series would vanish, which would disappoint fans. That's why we cherish all three domains and want to keep evolving them.

I feel the rest of the world (Americans included) have no idea of how aggressively the US is pushing to make Latin America into a giant colony. Every day we get news about political interference, increase in military presence, absurd trade demands, online propaganda, Venezuela being pillaged, etc

Where is the shame As I posted on Reddit a few weeks ago, human decorum seems to go out of the window when it comes to Waterfox. People seem to forget there is a human being behind Waterfox - only one at that - and that polite discourse is the way to approach, well, anything. I do hope the users who are “anti-AI” in all its forms take a step back and realise maybe they could be kinder, but on top of that, realise that the world is complex, often times shitty, and I am doing my best to make it just that little bit better, because I do believe my morals and ethics are in the right place here. Not only that, but unless you drop technology completely - and I mean even going back 20 years - you have already interacted with the field of “AI” today.

This is why I hate "just a tool" so so so much. You can make a calculator without access to every calculation. You can make photoshop without access to all photos. Someone show me a genai tool that didn't require all of our labour in its production. It's plagiarism software.
