Said so beautifully. The violence and murder of Jewish Australians as well as the murder of so many Jewish people on Oct 7 was horrific. But the continuing genocide of over 73,000 Palestinians makes the two events above pale in comparison. All of them are wrong.

There's a whole group of people who went through that rebellion stage in their teens where you separate from 'authority' and try to be as much like your peers as possible (a kind of rebellion group think)... And at some point, they/we just decided it was okay to stay that way. It's not good.
What 'moderation' really means is adopting the views of a very small group of loud, centrist writers and their big business backers, and is increasingly out of step with (a) the big problems in the US and (b) the polling on what Americans say are the biggest problems they want government to fix.
