Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

We’re at 82% of the current goal — thank you so much. I’m very grateful to everyone who has donated, shared, and sent kind notes. Every bit is helping me stabilize through a difficult medical period and build a safer bridge through this transition. Thank you for helping me get this close.

sorry I'm like this y'all but you have FIVE MORE DAYS, is all, and because I have totally forgotten to mention it, let me just add that one lucky nominator will win a whole pile of books, which is to say the entire 2025 shortlist! could be yours! go forth and nominate!

Ursula K. Le Guin@ursulakleguin.com · 8mo ago

It's time! Nominations are now open for the 2026 Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction, which will be given to a work of imaginative fiction, published in 2025, that reflects the concepts and ideas that were central to Ursula’s own work.

I don't really think your opinion on Harry Potter has any intrinsic moral valence, but c'mon, you should really not be giving Rowling money or attention if you care at all about trans rights, y'know? She's not an author with bad opinions, she's a full-time political activist who used to write books.

I continue to be fascinated by the phenomenon whereby an expert engages with any of the LLMs on their field of expertise and is instantly horrified by the wrong answers, and then goes on to use it for things they are not experts in as though it won’t be just as bad for those.

keep seeing people talking about Hugo and Nebula nominations which means it is my professional duty to remind you that nominations for the Ursula K. Le Guin Prize open on SUNDAY

The media should be PRAISING these athletes who know and understand the importance of public health. These articles should be about how they are setting an example for EVERYONE. And how we should all take their lead. Instead their positioning is: “look at these fucking weirdos”

For most people, the pandemic days of masking are behind us. In certain corners of the Winter Olympics, though, things still look a lot like they did in Covid times. Some athletes are taking extreme measures to stay healthy. n.pr/4akK70l
