Don’t believe people who tell you ai can be liberatory or any other misappropriation of movement talk or justice frameworks. Find some people who are preparing to rebuild and cast your lot with them. Then read a bit more. Just keep your wits about you because they are trying to run game.
This is an observation not a critique. But whenever I express a desire to go plastic free in a very specific niche way (usually involving heating plastic) people often suggest things that include plastic. And it just seems to me that a lot of people don't "see" plastic anymore.

Counting the troubles is only valuable up to a certain point and I think that fewer people in general need to use a lot of their time on it. I occasionally pick my head up to see what time it is but the beauty of a structural analysis is that it can help you avoid constant hyper vigilance.

A close approach on Sat could bring extreme rainfall (>30 inches) to Big Island, w/risk of widespread & severe flash flooding & damaging winds.

So not a time to get too comfortable with how things are going here compared to elsewhere. Need to push back on this. EDI makes for better science. It’s not a tradeoff
A party with no discipline, just a giant fundraising apparatus without a compass for how we rebuild necessary institutions and faith in government whatsoever.

Folks following me will know that I think Portland is one of the best cities in the country for actually organizing, planning, and (importantly) WINNING the government the people here need to build a community for everyone. I think politics here are important for analysis nationally and beyond.
