An excellent & much-appreciated piece, though there are a few local dynamics that are significant. 1) It’s true that Ypsilanti Township is “small,” but it’s not obscure. It blends fairly seamlessly with the city of Ypsilanti, a college town abutting Ann Arbor. 2.) U-M has a history of bullying both.

“There is no trust, we don’t believe you." [...] “We don’t want Los Alamos here, they’re one of the biggest villains of the 20th century." [...] “We want them far far away from us and everyone else.”

Even though I've had the game since I was basically a baby, I finally completed the original Metroid for the first time today. Still very good. Check it out, it's like if they gave Dizzy a gun

the funny thing about seeing screenshots for the Project Dream leak is that much like the first time I saw Donkey Kong Country, if I saw this at the time I probably would have thought it looked amazing and that video games will never look better than pre-rendered 3D graphics

"I remember when Wikipedia was considered slop" is designed for me to get mad at and baiting me to get banned 1- not it never was at best it was cautiously criticized 2-Wikipedia didn't used enough water and energy to power a small country 3-Wikipedia wasn't shoehorned into every product ever

An EXTREMELY selfish Kickstarter in that I'm just making the editions of these books that I've always wanted—cannot put into words how much love and care we've poured into every aspect this project!📚🩵 ...and it's no accident that @gilespink.bsky.social now has a writing credit on the Book of D'ni 👀
