Pulled some fabrics for the Star Pop 2 Quilt. Some are yardage, others remnants, yet others kindly gifted (♥️). Star fabric is cream with tiny red lobsters. I think my pull might need some more brown? Some depth? Thoughts?

An array of fabrics

Tonight's dinner is a Scottish/British takeaway on my favourite Danish comfort food: biksemad. I've chopped up cold baked potatoes, an onion, and some chicken sausages we had kicking about. All into a deep frying pan with some thyme, pepper & Worcestershire sauce. And browning it all off .. 1/

What part of my resting bitch face, a laptop, and absolute focus as I type away makes a stranger think he should shuffle up and call me darling? You'd think blue hair, wedding ring, middle-ageness, and pride badge would be sufficient but add the rbf and the laptop .. and I'm at a loss.

Just looked up the health spa where my aunt worked for years. The founder: "Around 1930, Austrian inventor Viktor Schauberger realised that water can change its structures by, amongst other things, being transported through straight pipes."

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

An aircraft passenger oxygen mask: a drop down passenger mask with air bag and yellow plastic mouth and nose cover, oxygen tube has been cut; Demonstration model used by flight attendant crew for passenger instruction. Has text on the side indicating that it's non-functional.

Had this convo offline, so let's put it online too. That trade union organiser from Burnley? Might not be real. That retired nurse from upstate New York? Might not be real. Making you feel negative rather than hopeful is deliberate. Bots and fake accounts are not just aimed at RW, but LW too.

Satyr created by Mary Lorraine, c.1967, in the art therapy studio at Netherne Hospital, where she was compelled to live. One of several surviving works her paintings often depict scenes of ballet, art making & society occasions & it seems, pre-hospitalisation, she may have been a professional dancer

A pale painting of a white, grey haired satyr dressed in a grey v neck sweater, white shirt and black tie with furred legs and pointy hooves, the left hand raised to shoulder height.
The figure is rather stranded in the middle of an expanse of yellowing paper, it is painted in an untaught style and there is something quite camp about the satyr’s stance but there is also a slightly unsettling quality to it.
His face is not very detailed but the expression on it is certainly not friendly

Dave: Happy anniversary. Here's stained glass art inspired by 1920s ballet. And a custom notebook I designed for you! Me: Uhm, here's a Chernobyl-themed stack of presents because it's been 40 years. Dave: .. we've not been together 40 years? Me: .. 🤔 .. you may have a point.
